With his seasoned craftsmanship and world-class flair, fashion designer Albert Andrada stands as a true purveyor of glamour among the country’s pool of topnotch couturiers. Before establishing his name in the Philippines, he has worked for one of the royal families of United Arab Emirates, a job that is as gleaming as they come.
One can say that Albert designs for those who are elites in their own right. Aside from Arab royals, his roster of clients includes celebrity heiress Paris Hilton, Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo, and his most prominent muse yet, beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach who won the much coveted Miss Universe crown donning an exquisite gown of his creation.
But despite his international success, Albert has chosen to stay firm in his roots. “I felt that I have to make use of my God-given talent to help my fellow Filipinos. As I always say, the Philippines is full of talented individuals. I came back to share what I learned abroad because I knew I had to give back to the place where I started as a designer.”
Making a career out of adorning women, Albert’s principle is to let his client’s innate elegance shine through above anything else. Here, he lets us in on his beginnings in fashion and why he takes tremendous pride in being a Filipino designer.
